This was the first jam of the afternoon. Miles put down some chords and drums and percussions, while Faulks improvised some lead keys, flutes, bass, synths and other sounds from the belly of his iPad, and it was the tastiest of treats for the earholes. Miles jumped on the drums to add some live drums, and added a simple bassline or two by converting some leads to midi, dropping down an octave or two and removing some notes, some randomization here and there.
Then some little sugar, effects, mixing and and whatnot.
For the voice, I used sample rack from the Ableton live pack Voice Box, which was free from Ableton website at some point.
To make this version, we first chopped it down from long length to short, trying to keep the tastiest of bits.
Title from the idea of moving around and around. Jamming, recording lots of sounds, then editing and producing. I noticed the different mindsets of those two parts - improving and recording, then producing it into something. Two halves of the brain apple or something. The lovely fun cycle of musical life, and tasty treats for earholes.
